Visit the world natural heritage. Halong Bay (Vietnamese: Vịnh Hạ Long) is an area of around 1500 km² in the Gulf of Tonkin in Quang Ninh Province. According to official information, in 1969 some limestone cliffs rose several hundred meters above the water. The limestone plateau that houses the bay is slowly sinking. In 1994, UNESCO declared the bay a World Heritage Site.
2 days - 1 night on board.
To really experience Halong, you can spend the night on a ship. We prefer the Bai Tu Long area here, as the central Halong Bay is very crowded.
Our partners have different ships (8 to 20 cabins). All with air conditioning, private bathroom and the best food.
1st day; Hanoi - Halong - overnight cruise
In Hanoi, you will be picked up by bus directly from your hotel. You will have lunch on board. The crew has prepared all the dishes freshly and the menu always includes 4 to 5 courses. Our guests also call the tours the "gourmet tours".... In the afternoon a visit to a cave is on the program after you have driven past the beautiful and well-known rock formations.
Next stop is the floating village. Very nice to see and you can see and buy the different fish and seafood of the region up close. It takes about 1 or 1.5 hours to row through the bay in a kayak. These kayak tours are also ideal for beginners and accompanied children.
Then dinner (always with many delicious courses). How you organize the evening is then up to you. Party, karaoke or just relax in peace... depending on your taste. A jump into the water, which you are welcome to do directly from the deck, is particularly nice. The ship's lighting enables relaxed swimming.
Guests describe it like this:... In Halong we boarded the boat, which also resembles a floating four-star hotel.... The pickup and the service was really great. Juergen had everything under control and we extended a day at very short notice. The colorful mix of people on the ship was a great bunch and we had a lot of fun. Food and cabins are awesome... Quote from Gaby, Ernst and Kerstin.
2 day; Boat trip - Halong - Hanoi
Breakfast on board and possibly another jump into the water. Don't miss the sunrise. In the morning there is often a light fog over the bay and that makes the pictures so great.
Lunch (as always very rich and full of specialties) on board. The boat docks at Gia Luan to drop off passengers and pick up others. You circumnavigate the largest islands in Halong and have a great view of the landscape. Around noon, the boat docks in Halong for transfer to Hanoi.
3 days - 2 nights is the best way to enjoy Halong 1st day similar to the 2 days tour. |
2 day; Boat trip
Breakfast on board, if you like gymnastics or swimming you are welcome. Don't miss the sunrise. In the morning there is often a light fog over the bay and that makes the pictures so great.
Lunch (as always very rich and full of specialties) on board. The boat docks at Gia Luan to drop off passengers and pick up others. We explore Halong Bay (Bay Tu Long). Depending on the boat you choose we will visit Cat Ba first. After a short bicycle tour we will explore the bay by kayac or rowing boat. For this we use a smaller ship. The kayak excursion on this second day leads through great grottos and takes place in peace and quiet. After returning to the ship (usually we have a barbecue on the small boat) you can enjoy Halong from its quiet side and feel the bay. A very romantic affair... Almost all guests are now in favor of the 2 nights, because they get this recommended by our "references". Late afternoon we return to the "mother-ship".
We could also offer a night on Cat Ba instead of on the ship. This combination is possible as well.
3rd day; Boat trip - Halong - Hanoi

Around noon, the boat docks in Halong for transfer to Hanoi.
